Forest Fields Primary School

- Y6 Forest Fields Primary School
On to Forest Fields Primary School in Nottingham today. I offered to give a whole school assembly as thanks to the girls who helped me with Tabinda’s story. The four girls standing on the right are all stars. Not only did they help me with my research, they play football too. Such role models!
I got the impression that Sangeeta, Mujgana, Sajal, Mahfuza and Amritha are pretty representative of this vibrant, friendly school; polite, hard-working, keen and kind. They are a tribute to their teachers and their families.
I’m hoping to see some of the children again tomorrow when I do a book signing in Waterstone’s, Nottingham. Anyone who comes along can help decide on the title for Tabinda’s story.
Waterstone’s, Bridlesmith Gate, Nottingham 10.00am -12.00 (with Alan MacDonald) and 1.30 – 3.00 (on my own – sob, sob). Telephone 0115-9484499 to order a signed copy of a book.
The Bookcase at Lowdham has also got plenty of copies of Love Simonexxx and Clubbing Together in stock too. (tel: 0115 – 9664143)

Thanks for the offer of new ideas, Sabah. I might just get back to you on that one day!
Hello Helana, Hows it going? Are you writing anymore books at the moment and how is the book about Tabinda going? Thanks for giving us the opportunity for helping you to write books. We reaaly enjoyed working with you and we hope you the best in life.Keep up the good work.Thank you for everything.
Hey girls – how brilliant to hear from you. How did you know that I was thinking about you? I am in the middle of re-writes on Tabinda. The story was too long so I have had to cut it down by 1000 words. The trouble is when you do that it is like unpicking a jumper – some of the pattern and shape is lost so you have to mend it, making sure the patches don’t show! We decided to call the story ‘Can’t I just kick it?’ in the end. Anyhow, keep in touch – I’ll let you know when it comes out, even though you might be in secondary school by then. Yikes!
i just wantet to say thankyou helena i think you are a great writer and whatever you do dont stop im in the photo too right at the end the girl wearing her hair down so thanx so much and welldone the girls who helped helena you diserved to help her because you are the best role models i ever met so good luck to evryone with your new school ill never foget you guys.

Good luck at Djanogly, Janny. Read my book Love SimoneXXX (it’s in the library there). It might help you through those early weeks – and make you laugh, too! I’m still working on Girls FC – three more to go!
HI Halena Pielichaty!I’m Shahed who used to go to forest fields primary & nursery school. My secondry schoolis Mnning School For Girls. I really missed it when you came to Forest Fields and talked to us about your books. I would LOVE it if you could come to Manning and do the same.
I love writing books. At the moment I am writing a book called: “The Life Swap”.
ALTHOUGH I HAVEN’T SEEN YOU AGES AGO, YET I STILL READ YOUR BOOKS AND LOVE THEM.
See you soon, Shahed krema
Hey Shahed. Nice to hear from you. You’ll have to ask the librarian at Manning to invite me in. Good luck with your book. The Life Swap sounds very interesting.
hi helena how is it going then
Fine thanks!
i dont even care about Ur books
That’s OK. You are allowed not to care about my books, Sajal. The good news is there are loads of other writers out there whose books you might like. Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid is really popular right now. Cressida Cowell’s How to Tame Your Dragon is another. If you like horror, there’s a series called Scream Street and if you like classics The Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett is still a favourite of many even htough it was published in 1911. Good luck with finding a story you like.
heyyyy its aamna how r u n how life i jus want to say i really like ur books and i hve still ur poster u sighed on xx n yeah i can remeber wen u came to our skl n now i go to djanolgy
