Get in there! I’m over the proverbial moon to announce that two of my books ’Are All Brothers Foul?’ and ‘Here Come the Girls!’ are featured in this year’s Premier League Reading Stars Challenge brought to you by the mighty National Literacy Trust.
Are All Brothers Foul is used as one of the on-line challenges.
It features sports-mad Lucy
and her less sporty but well-mardy brother Harry.
There’s also the famous dog-pooh scene.
Anyone who has ever played football on a local park ground
knows there’s always a dog-pooh scene.

Here Come the Girls! is featured as one of the titles (5) at the ‘Professional Level’ in the Reading Stars Training Log. The idea is kids can choose any of the titles from the 3 levels (professional, world class & legendary) and the ones they like best (hint, hint) then become part of their 11 ‘all-time favourites’ on the back of the log. Genius!
I’m telling you, reading initiatives don’t come any better than this. Professional footballers reading extracts and talking about books? Stickers? Posters? Author visits? What more do you want??
